How to Connect to & Use the Stream Vision Ballistic Application
Connecting to Stream Vision Ballistics Application is somewhat complex at first.
Below is a step by step guide on how to connect to the Stream Vision Ballistics app.
It's important to make sure you are following every step and in the correct order. Many people do run into connection issues due to missing a step.
- Long Press the menu button on your Pulsar device.
-
Scroll to the Bluetooth settings on your Pulsar Device & short press the menu button to enter the Bluetooth Submenu.
-
Hover over the Bluetooth Activation option, and short press the menu button to switch it to On.
-
Make sure that your Bluetooth setting on your phone or tablet is turned on.
-
Scroll down to the Bluetooth Pairing option in the Bluetooth Submenu, and short press the menu button on your Pulsar device to enter.
-
Your Device should then show a textbox stating that it is awaiting connection.
-
Enter your Stream Vision Ballistics application, and go under the Devices tab (Lower Left Hand Corner).
Press the blue Connect Device button. -
From here, if your Pulsar device's Bluetooth function is turned on you should see your device.
Press the Connect button. -
Here you will then see a Enter Device Code textbox.
Your Pulsar device will then display a 4-digit code for you to enter in this textbox.
Be sure to enter this code before the 15 second timer elapses, otherwise a new code will be needed. -
Your Pulsar device should then say Connection Successful.
The Bluetooth icon at the bottom the screen should now have 2 triangles on the side pointing inwards. -
Here you will then see your device. Select your Pulsar Device.
-
From here, you will select the Profile option.
-
Here you should see all your Zeroing profiles.
Select the profile you would like to enter your Ballistic Specs for.
Here we will select Profile A. -
Here you can do a few things.
I like changing the name of my Profile to the name of the Cartridge I am using.
For this example, I change the name to 6.5 Grendel, with a Short Name of 6.5 G.
You can also change your reticle type, brightness, and reticle color.
I prefer the M56Fi reticle in the color Green.
To begin entering your Ballistics Data, you will switch the Ballistic Parameters to ON. -
Once Ballistic Parameters has been activated, a few more options will appear.
You can either leave your Bullets/Ammunition option on Custom, and enter your data manually.
Or you can select pre-entered cartridge. -
Entering the selection menu, you would type the Ammo you are using and select it if it is there.
For this example, I am shooting Hornady, 123 gr FMJ out of my 6.5 Grendel.
NOTICE: You may struggle to find your cartridge at first, here you will notice that the cartridge is named "6,5 Grendel" rather than "6.5 Grendel", this applies to other cartridges in the mm format like 6.5 Creedmoor will appear as "6,5 Creedmoor" and 6.8 SPC will appear as "6,8 SPC". -
Here you will see some values appear in Metric. If you wish to switch to Imperial, you will need to do so manually. Simply select a value, such as Zero Range.
-
Swap from Meters to Yards, and enter the yardage of your zero,
-
Be sure to also measure and verify your scopes rifle height.
You will very likely need to do so with a pair of calipers.
Measure the center point of the optic down to the center line of your rifle's bore.
Enter that number into your Ballistics App. -
Here I have created a 2nd profile for a set of Soft-Points for my 6.5 Grendel.
-
You can swap between the two different profiles by simply press the greyed out checkmark.
This will then turn the checkmark blue to indicate that the profile is currently select. -
Going back to your Pulsar device, long press your device's menu button and scroll to the Ballistics setting.
-
Switch the Ballistics Activation option to ON.
-
If you have a LRF on your riflescope, you can freely start using the ballistics function simply by pressing the LRF button.
Once you get a distance, you should be provided a Suggested Point of Aim (SPOA).
You can edit the SPOA reticle and color in the Ballistics setting as well. -
For non-LRF units such as the Talion XG35, you will short press the menu button, until you see the Ballistics Icon, which is pictured below.
-
You can then adjust your control dial to the ranged distance (if you know via a LRF monocular or binocular), You will then have a Suggested Point of Aim on your Reticle.
Here you should be all set and ready to go!
